Dear TGAT Members,

As you know, we had planned a special event and visit to the Woodland Cultural Centre in Brantford on Monday, June 9. The day was to include:

A bus trip A virtual tour of the Mohawk Residential School A self-guided tour of the museum Lunch at East Side Mario’s in Brantford 

Unfortunately, only 10 members registered, and we required a minimum of 30 to proceed with the bus trip at the planned fee of $90 per member and $100 per guest. As a result, we have had to cancel the bus.

However, our President, Teresa Archibald, has suggested that those still interested might consider carpooling.

I am willing to drive and already have three members joining me. If you're open to driving or joining someone else's car, please let me know as soon as possible!

Revised cost: The original fee will be adjusted slightly to include fuel contributions to drivers (if carpooling), and potential 407 tolls to avoid delays on the Gardiner and 401.

Action Required:

Please contact me by Thursday, May 29, as I must confirm or cancel all venue bookings by Friday morning, May 30.

TGAT SPECIAL EVENT – Great News for all TGAT Members

Date: Monday, June 9, 2025

After too many years without having ‘out of town’ events we are finally getting back ‘On Track’ after the Pandemic and have organized an excellent day of fun and education to:

Woodland Cultural Centre – Indigenous Preservation Museum in Brantford, ON…including a ’45 minute Virtual Tour’ of the Mohawk Residential School renovations, followed by 1.5 hours to enjoy a self -guided tour of the Centre.

Following our visit we will depart by bus to the Brantford ON. area arriving at East Side Marios where we will  enjoy a three course meal including dessert and coffee/tea (alcoholic Beverages at own expense.)

Price: (inclusive)……..$ 90.00 for Members………$ 100.00 for Guests

**Note: Minimum attendance of 30 required to cover expenses ..or trip will cancel!

9:00am - Depart rear of Union Station on Bremner Blvd (in front of Scotiabank Arena)………..10:30am - Arrive Woodland……..…10:30am-11:15am -Virtual Tour of Residential School………..11:30 – 1:15pm - Self -guided tour of Woodland Centre.…….1:30 – 3:00pm – Lunch .......3:15pm-Depart for Toronto………5:30pm – (Approx) – Arrival in Toronto.
